Raquel Duval earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University, graduating at the age of 18. During her academic and athletic scholarship, she obtained three degrees. She is also an accomplished artist, having studied Fine Arts at Stanford, UC Berkeley and the University of Montana (Missoula). She has designed visual art for CD covers, book covers, business advertisements and websites.
Notable clients have included DC Skate (2005 – 2008), Tony Hawk, Anthony Kiedis of The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Ville Valo of HIM, Katherine Von Drachenberg (aka Kat Von D), Avril Lavigne, Heidi Klum, Dita Von Teese, Korn and Metallica. She worked on a snowboarding photography project in 2002 – 2003 with original Dogtown photographer, Craig Fineman. Her artwork has been displayed in galleries in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Copenhagen, Denmark, Aarhus, Denmark and Stockholm, Sweden.
She is an accomplished artist in these mediums: oil, acrylic, pencil, conte, watercolor, pen and ink, airbrush and digital art. She is experienced with CAD 3D and Corel Painter.
